Brownings are pleased to announce an important new addition within our senior leadership team.
Since our announced change of structure within the business in appointing a new senior leadership team we have now further added to that by appointing a new Managing Director who will take over from John Gall as of this week.
This appointment will allow the business to continue in further growth as our directors and owners John Gall and Matthew Short take a step back and look towards retirement.
After decades of dedicated service John will be retiring soon. Being at the heart and soul of Brownings for almost 50 years it is now time for him to hand over the reins to our new team including his son Fraser who is now the 4th generation family member to help shape the business. Mathews son Lucas will also be joining the business when he finishes University in May as a 3rd generation Short.
Declan McMahon, John Gall and Fraser Gall
As we look to the future, we are excited to welcome Declan McMahon to the Brownings family as our new Managing Director. Declan will bring with him a fresh perspective and new ideas to help guide us into the next chapter. With many years’ experience leading in both Commercial and Operational Roles, Declan is well positioned to manage Brownings with the same values and dedication that have always defined us.
John Gall, Chairman “I will be working closely with Declan over the next few months as he learns the ropes. I am then looking forward to observing exciting times ahead for Brownings, possibly viewing from afar somewhere on the golf course, just don’t tell my wife that last part! Matthew and I have no doubt that the new team will lead with passion, integrity, and a deep commitment to the quality that has shaped our business into the cherished family bakery it is today. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the same excellence you’ve come to expect.”
